Japanese Art & Culture Centre of Utrecht
A cultural house in the heart of the Netherlands is born. JACCU is a community for Japanese art and culture enthusiasts to share and gain knowledge and experience. The vision of this new initiative is to invite all Japanese culture enthusiasts in Utrecht and the Netherlands to enrich their experience and knowledge through, sharing, teaching, learning and enjoying the culture and society of Japan.
“Utrecht is a fantastic city to live and work in. Centrally located, clear and lively. In a city that considers “Healthy Urban Living for Everyone” important, art is indispensable. Art connects, makes people think, evokes emotion, provides relaxation and is therefore of great importance for our mental and physical sense of well-being, the resilience of the individual and that of society. Art and culture make the city dynamic and attractive; for the current inhabitants, but also for companies and visitors from outside the city. Moreover, art and culture is there for everyone; young and old, practitioners and consumers, amateurs and professionals, lovers of the classic canon and groundbreaking new makers.”
